About Us

DRA is a 501(c)(3) organization created to focus on rescue.  We are committed to rescuing abandoned and unwanted dogs and placing them in safe, loving homes. DRA is licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and adheres to the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s Code of Ethics.

Doberman Rescue of Atlanta, Inc. (DRA) was created by people with years of experience in Doberman rescue.  DRA Board Members previously operated and volunteered with the Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Rescue (ADPR), which is a committee of the Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Club. ADPR is not currently involved in dog intake or adoption.

Doberman Rescue of Atlanta is made up entirely of volunteers.  No one in our organization receives a salary.
